If you live in a state that requires $10,000 coverage per person, and you take a trip to another state that requires $15,000 or + coverage, would you be driving illegally in that state?

read the small print rather then just get the lowest quote. They rarely pay up if they can find any way not to.

All State is not good my friend.Because I know,if u get into an accident at all state, even if its not your fault. They will raise your premium.Watch out. We in the U.S. have a terrible car insurance system by the way, just like health insurance

There is no BEST alternative that fits everyone, Checking around for EVERY option is the only way to know, but I would suggest you check with several INDEPENDENT Insurance Agencies. Many understanding the needs of young drivers. The standard companies you reinterate, like PRO and GEI are not the best, they just ADVERTISE More ! Don’t get sucked into believing that they will tell you that someone else is cheaper!! Their’s is a SALES business!
My small agency REPLACES these BIG GUYS EveryDAY!

I’ve got Erie Insurance. For me they beat every company mentioned here by at least a hundred bucks. Plus, they write the policy for a year, so if you have an accident in the first six months your rate won’t get jacked up in the second, and they have accident forgiveness, diminishing deductible. Amazing what you’ll find if you call a local independent agent. Met-Life is very good too- About the same as Erie, but my house was cheaper with Erie so I went that way.

I had the cheapest a few years ago bought off the internet and had another person hit me with no car insurance an illegal and he fled the scene,My ins co did nothing,I made a dozen calls. I went back to a local agent someone who had an office so if I have a problem I can go see them. The cheapest isn’t always the best answer especially when its comes to being protected. I want someone to be held accountable and I want to talk to them face to face.

I had to sue Allstate to get them to pay up when I needed them. Currently I’m with State Farm, and although it’s not cheapest the service is excellent. They’ve always been prompt to pay with the least amount of hassle and they always make sure I’m satisfied with the service.

We get a good deal though a smaller company called rocky mountain insurance. Becauce I get everything though them (ranch, cattle, rental property, personal property, home & auto) my family gets a package deal so we get cheaper auto rates. You personally might not have cows, but I think you get the idea.
