    @lrossi888 Not sure about Honda’s, I was referring specifically to Toyota’s.

    @videoslacker I also find it funny when people tell you to buy American, not Toyota or Honda, even though all of their cars sold in the United States have been made here in the US since the 90′s.
    My 1993 Camry was made in Kentucky.

    @cebokisha The sad thing is that Deming went to the big 3 first, and they basically laugh at him(I’m not kidding). So he took it to the Japanese and the rest is, as they say, history. Ford was about the only one that listened to Deming after that. GM and Chrysler…not so much.

    @Allante715 Yeah well New Zealand was the first country to include a spare wheel with a vehicle. before this all you got was a tyre and tube! American standards actually slowed down some safety inprovements to vehicles. Like seatbelts,airbags, impact bumpers, roll-over protection and many items more. The Japs actually invented electric windows and air con. The Germans disc brakes, airbags, ABS and oh the auto car itself.

    @Allante715 Ok. I was reffering to more general domains, not just car manufacturing, but as I know of, Subaru invented the electrical transmission, Honda invented the piston ring, valve lifts, timings, something the like (I’m not very good at mechanics, I’m sorry), Toyota invented the automatic looms, plus I might be wrong, but Nissan invented the first “plug-in-and-drive” system? :) And let’s not talk about the corporate strategies which made everything possible. Just a few examples,that’s all

    The Toyota production system is based on crystal meth. Hence the need to poka yoke EVERYTHING. If a meth monkey can screw something up they will.

    Shameful Japanese managers encourage the distribution of meth in there facilities. Take away there meth and there productivity will drop like a rock.

    I was a Quality Technician, a 5S/Lean-coordinator, and now I am a Supervisor at the same Company that has plant in, for example, Mexico too. And We supply Our products to Toyota.
    But these guys know something, that We all need to learn :)

    Japanese invented Katana

  14. Allante715
    November 24th, 2010 at 00:15 | #14

    @cebokisha

    Did the Japanese invent the fuel injector? internal combustion engine? Headlights? Turn Signals? Adjustable Steering Column? Disk Brakes? Cruise Control? Electric Windows? Electric Ignition? Spark Plug? Muffler? Odometer? Seat Belts? ECT…ECT….ECT

    Give me an example of a Japanese invention or innovation that is on the majority of automobiles. Must be an original invention not an improvement. You can go tell me to read a book but the least you can do is give examples.

    November 24th, 2010 at 01:31 | #17

    @Allante715
    That is false!
    It has been statistically proven that Japanese automakers create more inventions AND innovations than any other European or American country. Check “Strategic vs Evolutionary Management – A US vs Japan Comparison” book and you’ll see what I mean.

    I just love Americans who like to take credit for all the good things in this world…
    Edward Deming was the developper of Quality Control Management. But building a car is more than quality control. And Kaizen is much more than that also. And let’s not forget that E. Deming conducted his work in Japan, where he worked with Japanese, who later improved whatever he had initially developped… I don’t like you implying that Japanese car manufacturers owe everything to E. Deming.

    Toyota Production System is perfect, reduces the costs, reach high-quality, eliminates the? failures.
    Then why do they recall 1/4 of the cars manufactured in 2009? What is the disadvatage of the system? May be Toyota can not put its own system in to practice.

    @MrTwitcher216 why are you trolling a toyota video if you don’t even like them and why would you care what someone else drives anyway you cocksucking faggot? Do you get a thrill from starting “fights” on the internet? Is that how you spend your free time? Get off your computer and get a fucking life you dork. I’m done responding to you.

  24. Allante715
    November 24th, 2010 at 03:48 | #24

    @videoslacker

    Japanese automakers really never come up with original ideas. They just make a European or American design better.

  25. Allante715
    November 24th, 2010 at 04:39 | #25

    @SirishT

    Its alot more then that. You really have to look at where the parts come from to assemble those vehicles and were the profits go. Hyundai for example assembles a few cars in America but those cars US content are in the 30-40 percents. The most amount of auto manufacturing jobs comes from suppliers not from the actual assembly plant.

    Land Cruiser owns. Land Rover has nothing to say, especially since their reliability ratings are some of the worst in the market according to JD Power. Even Kias, which was once the laughing stock of reliability, and all American brands (except for Jeep, which tied) have better ratings.

    @jamesjr934 Land Cruiser. It is rated good, 5 star. The problem is, when side impact, falls over. I mean, it’s not standing.

  43. ladiesman217o
    November 24th, 2010 at 11:34 | #43

    @whatever qx56 is a good car but the resale value and reliabilty is not though it is japnese car and when talking about the toyta and lexus give more off road gear like crawl control and many other gear or if need luxury than the lexus is a good choice in reliability and off road but again not a good resale valuecuz when will sell the customer will take less money or the price u want to sell he i will 10000 dollars more and buy a new one
