Group B Worship: Ford RS200 and Audi Sport Quattro – Chris Harris On Cars

February 18th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

To enter Group B in the 1980s, car makers had to build 200 road-going examples of the car they intended to rally. These rules created some of the most spectacular road cars of all time. I love rallying: the chance to drive an RS200 and a Sport Quattro nearly sent me to the nut-house. Fire up the Quattro! Written and presented by Chris Harris Shot and edited by David Litchfield

@bcatz454 As a motoring journalist, yes. As an insane motorist journalist, who smokes several cartons of cigarrettes a day,? is turning bald and is the epitome of how you can turn a car show into a popular and insane comedy car show… Well… No.

Was very disappointed that Mark Lovell? was not mentioned! Because that is the name that was synonymous in the UK in the mid 80s!

@1390arosa well of course any slow car modified can be made fast, your original post was silly as you? didnt mention it was turbocharged let alone modified, but this argument is silly anyway so i will stop

@DethThrasher1 Seat Ibiza Cupra TurboSupercharged – best independently? measured published 0 to 60 mph, 2010 GTi International, 4.99 sec. Best 1/4 mile @ SantaPod 13.41 sec @ 103mph. 0 to 100mph with passenger and 1/2 tank of fuel, 13.1 sec measured by Redline mag for full feature, only TSi engined car in the UK with Forged pistons and rods. £130 tax, and 40+mpg. thats all. not bad for a 1390cc automatic hatchback?
