Ford Hemp Car
Old archival footage of Ford’s 1941 hemp car. I got a recent brochure from Ford and in the eco-friendly section it says they are using hemp again. Didn’t say which models or what exact parts would be hemp but hey, there’s hope yet.

It would be better if the hemp we grew had a high THC count..that way farmers could also sell it for medicine and recreational use. Complete plant..food, clothing, materials, gas, medicine, recreational uses…Complete crop product. Rather than playing in to the fascist fears , the puritanical insanity that claims cannabis THC is unhealthy, evil..Americans dont have the right to consume Hemp with THC..why not? Says who? If it was legalized there would be billions of dollars made and jobs created. Hemp would save the planet and there would be no more pollution in our air or oil spills. Marijuana has far more medicinal value than what the pharmaceutical companies are distributing. Marijuana and Hemp are a few of the most? beneficial plants on Earth and they’re illegal? It’s unbelievable
I am pro-hemp, and hemp is not pot. You would have to smoke that entire car to get high from hemp. Hemp can provide food, clothing, automobile materials, and just about anything we could think of. We could end our addiction to oil by making soy/hemp plastics and America could be alive again if we allowed farmers to grow the crops and used the product as stated above.
Studies in Israel and England have proven that cannabis has anti-tumor properties, that it protects brain cells, that it prevents (NOT causes) lung, breast, head and neck cancers, that it works with the body’s endocannabinoid system to regulate pain, appetite, mood, and memory, and this is not just what I say it is what the studies say and if you google it you will see.

People have smoked cannabis for 1000′s of years before america went around the world pressuring every country to eradicate this wonderful plant. Here’s something that might blow your mind: Cannabis (Pot) can actually cure cancer! Do some research! Some of the compounds within pot actually stop cells mutating, which is what cancer is. Pot actually makes you a safer driver, that’s been proven. Saying “Pot” is a gateway drug is like saying: Drinking milk leads to drinking alcohol. Which is one of the worst drugs of all. Coffee is also a drug. Anything you put into your body that has an effect on you, is a drug, so that includes food too. The drug cartels and the gang violence that we currently see in mexico for example, is the fault of prohibition which puts these drugs in the hands of criminals.
@EpsteezyFoSheezy if anything, I am a slave to reason. The argument presented here is that hemp is a beneficial CROP, that was unfairly mailgned to protect cotton interests. Cotton, incidentally, is a terribly energy intensive crop, and has a tendency to deplete topsoil. (but cotton is really comfortable so I can see where tensions would run high (can’t fuck with the Hanes MAN!))

One word: POWER. You get power from monopolies, and oil is something that exists only a few places on earth.
You can grow hemp *anywhere*. Farmers from Califonia to New York State and everywhere in between can grow hemp. Hemp is grown from Nigeria (tropics and high humidity) and Afghanistan (arid mountains).
You can’t limit availability without the law. That is why it is illegal.

There are many countries where hemp is legal.
It does not “kill” any other industry (oil, cotton etc…) in those countries.
It’s just a freaking plant, you can make shit out of it. But it’s not God and it’s not that much better than nylon or cotton
