The Ford 427 SOHC V8 was among the most powerful motors ever to wear the blue oval logo and produced over 400 horsepower in dual carbureted form. Although best known for providing the motivation for the 427 Cobra, this engine was used in a variety of Ford and Mercury vehicles. Build a beautiful, exacting replica of Ford’s Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) 427 with cast metal and molded polystyrene parts. Pre-painted parts in authentic factory colors. Cast metal engine block and engine stand. Chromed and beautifully detailed valve covers, and air cleaner with realistic filter. Exquisitely detailed engine components such as the ignition coil, fuel line filter, starter, distributor and generator. Cast metal headers with molded chrome exhausts. Intric

This engine is both diecast and some plastic construction, and it is highly from the paint scheme ro the timing cover housing the overhead cams. Plenty of chrome and take your time assembling this kit and you will have a real piece of mechanical art work. Turn the fly wheel and the fan, alternator and all turns. one of the must get kits…Engineman

I have been a shop floor Quality Control Inspector for nearly thirty years, and I can tell you from a Quality standpoint this model kit is absolutely top notch. There is almost NO flash on the pieces, and having been a modeler for years it is very refreshing to see the quality of the molded parts in this kit. It comes very carefully packaged with the bottom end partially assembled. Naturally there are no internal workings, but the external detail is totally unsurpassed. Absolute attention to even the finest details. You actually have to build the carburetors, assemble the primary and secondary bowls, the baseplate, the external vacuum secondary (looks like a pair of 750 double pumpers w/ vac secondary linkage, factory only). You can even see the venturi in the carbs! Unbelievable!! And you have to assemble the carb linkage just like the real thing! The air filter housing and the oil filter are also unbelievably detailed.

What a fun project this was, and I am *TOTALLY* satisfied way down in that warm fuzzy spot that breathes fire and remembers the sound of thunder from those open headers on a Ford big block.

These cables don’t fit my 2007 ford f150 pickup. Neither cable is even close to the proper dimensions to fit either the existing antenna cable or the jack on the back of the radio. Either the cable is marketed or packaged incorrectly or there is a newer updated version of the cable to fit brand new model year fords. Guess I’ll have to look elsewhere for the proper fit since it will cost me as much as I spent on the set to ship it back.

Actually, as it turns out after I found an adapter that fit, the factory radio and antenna in my 2007 ford f150 pick up have what most manufacturers are marketing as a Chrysler antenna cable connection. Go figure.

Used it on a 2005 Ford Taurus. Worked really slick. Easy to use and install.
